We invest in the education, training and upskilling of our employees to align their professional goals and interests with the success of our company.

Virtual employee learning and training

We enable our global employees to keep learning with virtual training. Moody's employees participated in an average of 21 hours of training in 2020¹ʼ².
Creating leaders through virtual upskilling
Our new Virtual Leadership Essentials program for new and front-line managers teaches fundamental management skills and how to lead by enhancing self-awareness and personal effectiveness. In 2020, we started training 269 managers through this program.

Additionally, we partnered with Cornell University to deliver a new FinTech and Innovation training program to over 40 employees across the company.
Top talent acceleration programs
We aim to build a strong talent pipeline, develop diversity and expose participants to senior leadership. Our talent accelerator programs for women and employees of other underrepresented groups include:
  • Horizons: an early career development program for women
  • RISE: a nine-month development program for mid-level women employees that provides participants with personalized development planning, coaching and mentoring
  • SOAR and ASCENT programs, for director-level networking, supported by the Global Women’s Leadership Council
  • TIDE: a program focused on elevating high-potential women and employees of other underrepresented groups through a year of executive mentorship, development, training and networking opportunities; and
  • SURF: a two-year talent acceleration program for emerging diverse employees that provides participants with structured learning activities, enhanced career opportunities and exposure to senior leaders

ESG training

To continue to help our customers solve the most complex problems of our time, we are training our employees with deep domain expertise in ESG in subjects like climate risk and new developments from Moody’s ESG Solutions.
