Moody’s is committed to a diverse, equitable and inclusive culture where we celebrate the differences that make us stronger.

We believe a workforce that represents an array of backgrounds and experiences helps create an environment that maximizes every employee’s contribution, widens the leadership pipeline, and enhances our work, including the quality of our opinions, products and services. With over 11,400 employees in more than 40 countries, we aspire to be a place where everyone feels comfortable being their true selves, where we demonstrate empathy and civility – and where we celebrate the differences that make us stronger.
At Moody’s, our purpose is to bring clarity, knowledge and fairness to an interconnected world. Remaining true to our values means standing unequivocally with the Black community against racism and inequality. Moody’s has announced a commitment of $1 million over the next five years to promote equal justice and advancement of the Black community. Through our Diversity, Equity & Inclusion team and our employee-led Black Inclusion Group, Moody’s will identify additional opportunities and ways to support racial justice organizations and initiatives, including pro bono and employee activities.

Moody’s is committed to racial justice.

We all have a responsibility to do better and to build a more just society that serves everyone equally. Read the statement from our CEO and Executive Leadership Team on our commitment to racial justice.

Support Black Talent
We are making an intentional effort to offer internships and employment opportunities to our Moody’s Foundation education partners who serve the Black community with a goal of increasing our talent pipeline.
Advance Black Leaders
Moody’s is committed to catalyzing the advancement of ethnically diverse candidates at Moody’s and promoting cultural awareness. This includes expanding internal conversations on diversity through our Moody’s Courageous Conversations series, empowering diverse employees to reach their full potential, and engaging with organizations dedicated to diversity, equity and inclusion.
Educate about Racial Justice
Our affiliate, Four Twenty Seven, who are recognized experts in assessing climate risk will use their platform to educate about environmental justice, equitable adaptation, and the interplay of race and climate change through webinars, publications and research.
For over 100 years, Moody’s success has been built on diversity of thought and differing perspectives. We foster an inclusive work environment where all views matter and we proactively promote a culture where all employees can achieve their career goals.

Moody’s prioritizes diversity, equity and inclusion to enrich our offerings to our many stakeholders and ensure that we can recruit and retain the best talent.

President & Chief Executive Officer

Our diversity strategy focuses on hiring diverse candidates and elevating non-traditional employees to leadership positions, with a focus on empowering women leaders on a global scale and increasing the racial and ethnic makeup of our employees and leaders in the United States.

We take a holistic approach to this work by implementing comprehensive education programs, such as diversity trainings, as well as specialized programs for historically marginalized groups, including Business Resource Groups (BRGs). We also encourage Courageous Conversations and institute DE&I accountability measures to help move us from awareness to impact.

We acknowledge the opportunity for the financial services industry to do more in promoting a diverse and inclusive workplace, and we recognize the responsibility we have to our employees, customers, stakeholders, and society to advance our diversity strategy.

Diversity, equity and inclusion is in our corporate DNA.

Our global diversity operating model focuses on elevating DE&I in the workforce, workplace, and the community.
Through our Business Resource Groups (BRGs) and Diversity Council, we ensure the interests and values of our employees are represented. Our BRGs are overseen by executive sponsors and comprised of regional chapters and advisory committees. Our Diversity Council is siloed into an executive council, comprising of senior leadership; regional councils, representing employees in the Americas, EMEA and APAC; and advisory committees.
To ensure an inclusive workplace from both an employee and operational perspective, we invest in diversity trainings and a supplier diversity program. Our diversity trainings are required for all employees globally, with specialized trainings on inclusive leadership and talent. Our supplier diversity program commits Moody’s to using minority, women-, veteran and LGBTQ+-owned businesses, which have historically been underutilized in the supply chain.
Through our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs and partnerships, we are committed to empowering people with financial knowledge, activating an environmentally sustainable future, and helping young people reach their potential. This includes donations from the Moody’s Foundation to our non-profit partners, as well as employee volunteering programs and pro bono activities to help the communities where we live and work.
